The Yokefellow Body is a body of men serving Katy First Baptist Church in close association with the Deacon Body of the church and from which future deacons will be selected. It also provides an introductory point to the Deacon Body for ordained deacons from sister churches. It is designed to make use of the gifts of men willing to serve the church as a yokefellow or deacon.

Yokefellows receive formal training in a minimum of six sessions, covering such topics as Biblical origins of and qualification of deacons, meeting the needs of people, supporting and partnering with the pastor and staff, growing in faith and reaching people.
